Director Our previous managing agent had been appointed by the developer. After the completion of the development it became obvious that they had been appointed because they were a large company with close links to big developers. Over the next couple of years the development started to struggle in terms of general maintenance and debt. When Edge was appointed as our agent the  development had already drifted into a poor state. Although we knew we had to remove the previous agent we were concerned that all agents may provide the the same low level service. This was not the case.  Edge have been fantastic. They have turned round the development and recovered the debt position. The Quadrant – Rob Owen, Director The Quadrant had been managed for several years from new by CPM/RMG. The Directors had become increasingly concerned that the management service was not up to the standard we required. Examples include recurring site issues and bills, lack of planning and budgeting for regular maintenance and projects, poor quality control of work done on site, frequent change of account manager, lack of visibility and clarity of how the management charges were being spent. In addition, the budget to fund new works seemed to be running out. Barton Street My name is Paul Bayliss and I am the director of Barton Street Management (Manchester) Limited, in Manchester City Centre. The previous managing agents let the communal areas become neglected, the gardens were overgrown and there were an increasing number of problems with the building that were not being dealt with properly. There was also a high number of debtors that had not been chased for the service charges and the reserve fund was very low for a building that was eight years old.
